1) Ok first of all I'll start out by saying that I have looked in the manual and other resources, but cant find anything. Im using the NNXT for my drums. Is there a way that I can make the NNXT play the whole sample with one key hit. The way it is now I have to hold the key down till the sample is done. I would think there would be something similar to the Decay/Gate switch on ReDrum. Do any of you know of a way I can do this?????

2) For ReDrum I know that MIDI is automatically routed to certain knobs. For ex. when I hit the C3 key on the keyboard it mutes channel 8. Is there any way to undo this so when hit the key it does not mute it?

I tried to explain this as accurate as possible. If anyones confused, I can try to explain better. Thanks.

yeah you just gotta add the turn the release knob all the way up, yeah thats in the manual, but it doens't really say it for drums. you can do it with the drop down for each drum to set them differently or on top.

For redrum you can map your own controls, but defaults are how you explained them. Most drums on keyboard are mapped to start at C1 with a kick

Thanks a lot. I really should have known that.

I know that you can do the remote override to assign certain controls to certain keys, but thats not really what Im looking for. I'll explain what I am trying to do to give you a better idea. I am making a combinator patch for drums. Ive got a mixer in the combinator. Ive got redrum routed to the mixer. Drum sounds are triggered from keys C1 to A1. Now what I want to do is route an NNXT to the mixer in the Combinator and add more sounds from B1 on. The problem is that when I hit a higher key it not only triggers the NNXT sample, but mutes or solos channels on the ReDrum. Im trying to make it so those higher keys do not mute or solo. Just trigger the sample. I originally thought of just using the NNXT without the ReDrum, but I want to EQ and effect certain sounds individually and there arent enough outs on the NNXT.

You know what.... I just solved my own problem. Another simple answer I should have thought of. I'll just use multiple NNXT's. Damn now I gotta reroute everything... Oh well. Thanks for the help.

or you can route a split patch, were the combinator only triggers redrum c1 though whatever and nnxt starts somewhere else.

Hmmmmm. I didnt know you could do that. I havent done too much with the Combinator yet. Thanks. That will save me a whole lot of work.

in the combi controls (The light turquiose section), you can highlight each device in a combi, and select your high/low keys so redrum is only played when you hit the keys in the first octave and your nnxt can play everything else...

Thanks for the help. Reason never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think Ive got it down, theres like 10 new things that open up so many more possibilities. Im going to start usin the Combinator more.
I just got so used to usin it only to layer different devices that I completely forgot about that combi control section and all the CV routing possibilities. Thanks again.
