I use an automation clip on the "trigger" envelope and it works fine except that after it does the tapestop effect there is a split second of some sort of left-overs that plays real quick. It's hard to explain, so here's an audio clip of what I'm talking about... when the "beat" comes back in it's supposed to be quiet but you'll notice this weird after sound that comes in out of nowhere.

Someone please help on how to stop that from happening... thanks!

Here's the example:

Forgot to mention that I'm using FL Studio 10.........

Yes
For tapestop there are three settings

the first is slow down %
Second is delay
and third is speed up

slow down controlls how fast your audio slows to a stop, if you place it near 5 it is almost like turning off a record player.
The delay is the amount it takes before the effect takes effect. (no pun intended) haha

Now the speed up knob is the one that is causing your sped up vocals at the end. Set it to zero and it will stop rewind at the end of the effect.

That sped up effect can be used to make the instrumental track pause, and then speed up to the full speed again.

Hope I didn't confuse you haha, if I did just ask me more

Hmmm, mine doesn't have a "speed up knob."

I have 3 knobs: Trigger, SlowDown, and DeClick.

I thought maybe DeClick is the same as Speed Up so I set it at 0 but the problem is still happening.

djfreezetexas is talking about the TapeStop section of dBlue's Glitch, which apparently has a bit different controls than just the TapeStop plugin.

Ok, so the solution is I have to get the dblue glitch program instead of just the dblue tapestop?

Well, at least that one's easy to try since they're all free. Can't really help with the problem itself as I don't have a Windows machine handy...
