Hey guys.
I just got my first synth "Yamaha cs2x" and im slowly starting to understand how it should be used together with sequencing programs.
anyways... im running cakewalk, since i think cubase is more difficult and cake can do all the important stuff i need... so theres no reason to run cubase.
my problem is... i record something in midi, with my synth.
In performance mode that is, with a patch.
that works great... but my synthesizer can only play one preset at once, so i have to record my "riff" to audio.
and then import it...
my problem is.. i cant record my midi riff, to audio.
ive read the tutorial in cake, and still dont quite understand what i shall do to make it work.
Atleast i can record, but theres no sound at all in the track (audio track)
i thought it was cakewalk that struggled, so ive borrowed cubase from a friend of mine and tested the same thing.
but it didnt work their either, i simply recorded my riff in a midi track on channel 1, then tryed to record a midi track, just by clicking on it and pressing the record button.
it worked... but the file i get after recording is simply Empty, no data is recorded.
I have a soundblaster 1024 soundcard.
i used cakewalk pro audio 8, and cubase ver 5.0
any help at all is appreciated, since im not good at this stuff.
