I have read the whole 7 pages spec list. And it sounds very good. There is just one thing that's not clear to me. You can set the jog dial in vinyl mode and into CDJ mode. In CDJ mode, the jog dial functions like a normal Pioneer CDJ player. Nothing new here. But when you set CDJ-1000 into vinyl mode, the top of the jog dial works just like vinyl deck. Pressing down stops the music and allows you to scratch or cue your track by rotating the jog dial in either direction. If Pioneer says "it works just like a vinyl deck", I am thinking the jog dial has to turn to simulate a platter and then it works like a vinyl deck. Correct?
So does anyone know if that the jog dial start turning in vinyl mode? That would be so cool, but there is nothing said about this on the site? I'm guessing this does not happen, will this be available on another soon to be released MKII model? Because I heard other people talk about such a turning motorized jog dial. Probably for now you need to press down on the jog dial to stop the music (brake effect), but how do you know how hard you have to push to get your desired break length. If the jog dial does not turn at a continuous speed, there is no resistance when pressing down. Maybe I see it all wrong so if anyone have a clear explanation.
