Cras Vs Sae...? pros and cons

Im deciding between these schools but I dont know which one to choose.

They both have almost the same tuition , but you have to pay almost 3000 dollars more for SAE (in LA) for supplies.

I live in LA, so I could go to SAE without worrying bout housing (I live with my parents)

In the other hand, I would like to experience living by myself, at least for a year.

Cras seems to have a better program and seem to be more selective on who they choose.

Sae also seems to have a good program, and they have a good reputation as they are an internationally known school.

Cras has a mandatory intership (they actually place you in a studio before graduation). SAE does not. You gotta find your own internship.

As you can see, I did my research, but I am torn between these 2 schools.

I am leaning towards CRAS but if there is anyone outthere who thinks I? should attend SAE instead, I would like to hear their reasons.

I wanna attend fullsail college...u ever thought about that one?....it's in Orlando,FL....

well, i did all my research (all main schools), and honestly, I dont even consider full sail an option. I have read a lot of bad things about the school, plus the tuiton is waaaay over the top.... seriously, if you are considering going to fullsail, research a bit more... you should come to cras with me. =D

have you checked out the facility for either? what equipment each one is using? course schedule? SAE doesn't guarantee internships but they do try and get you some good internships...stay at the top of the class and they'll be more willing to help you find one...

also, something to consider...CRAS is in AZ and SAE is in LA...what place would you rather be in to network and which place would have more opportunities...

How about other benefits such as student discounts on gear,events, etc? have you looked into that as well?

If you want to live on your own you could always go to SAE in NY...

I have not checked the facilities but I know that both schools are constantly updating their equipment. I know for sure that CRAS checks and updates at least once a month.

About networking, it doesnt really matter where you are. I am gonna be in an audio school. Everyone in school is a good networking opportunity, be it in LA or AZ. I am gonna be surrounded by people just like me in either school. Although LA does have its advantages in that dept, I believe networking will be fine at either school. Plus, In cras, I get to choose where I get my internship. Of course, this is gonna be in LA. I will have plenty of networking opportunities there.

I have checked both course schedules, and it seems to me that cras has a more thorough list of classes. Like I said before, SAE's program sounds good as well, but to me Cras is a bit better.

So yes, if anyone thinks I should to SAE, dont just ask me questions, give me reasons. Thanks

to dC: thanks for the comment about living abroad. I want to live by myself, but also be able to come back to my town from time to time. AZ is perfect for this as it is a 6 to 7 hour drive. If I go to NY, I wont have chances of coming back to LA for the whole program.
