How do you guys incorporate machine into your setup/process? Do you use as a stand alone or as a plugin? Did you abandon your DAW all together??? Do you use the software that came with it or do you just use it as a midi controller? Basically how did you add Machine into your creation process\

side note: I am interested in purchasing machine but i absolutely hate the song mode in the software, any way I can use my DAWs song mode to build my tracks instead of Machines?

It ain't too bad. I just use the software that it comes with and come up with either 24 bar loops (hook and verse) or do the entire song in Maschine, and then I track it out and do the mixing in FL Studio. I don't feel I need a DAW at all other than to do mixing (and some automation).

Nice. I thought you needed a DAW just to run it.....of course it would come in handy, but not until you need it.

I use Fm8, edirol, reaktor5, kontak4, gutair rig4, and fl studio9 (yes the whole program) into maschine so I dont really need a DAW with all those vsts I have but i do mix in reason 5 sometimes.

Seems like you know a thing or two about Maschine so you might be the person to ask. I dont have it but from the videos I have seen, its real awesome. closet thing you can get to a MPC, might be even better than a MPC to some people, my only problem is im not really a fan of the "song mode" is there a way I can sequence the song in FL STUDIO instead. Because I see that can actually load up FL STUDIO, so there must be some way i can use the song mode in FL i hope

Maschine song mode is just like the playlist in fl studio 7. I don't think you will have a problem with it at all once you get used to it. I have not used Maschine in FL Studio, but once loaded as a plugin you should be able to use FL Studio and maschine without any issues. It's works fine in ableton, and I find that using it as a plug-in in Ableton keeps the cpu load lower than when using the maschine stand-alone app with vsti/vst plugins.
