Wassup guys ? I new here, but I heard this is the place to be if you want to showcase your work, get responses, advice, criticism etc. :)

I'm doing G-Funk beats, I'm in love with the smooth style of hip-hop and I'm doing the best to keep the cavvy music alive. I'm doing everything for fun, not proffesionaly and I don't have any gear besides some good speakers, but I think my beats are worth a listen

I'd be trilled if you guys check me out, leave a comment, give me your oppinion, subscribe? lol. If you're down with the G-Funk hit me up

Vibe With Us grew on me. I think it could have a different snare. The same really snappy type but just a different one. I think that scratch is cheeseballs. Other than that, this is a cool beat. My only complaint for composition is that I know it's supposed to be retro, but I wish there was like some element or little sound was a bit more modern but that's more a personal thing for me than anything wrong with the beat. Oh, maybe that snare is fine but it's really loud in the mix. That might have been what was throwing me about it.

I browsed through some of the other ones. All pretty cool. Definitely doing the g-funk thing well. I was looking for some darker murderous type shit in there though. Would love to hear you do something that was a little mean spirited like that old Chronic/Doggystyle stuff.

Yeah you're not the first one that has said that about the snares. They are pretty loud .. I should lower them in the future. Thanks for that !

"Memory Lane" and "Vibe with Us" are dope!
My only critique is you sound selection. You beats don't have that BattleCat /DJ Quik fatness, sonically .
What do you use to create?

Also, if you have free time, let me know what you think about my beat tape.

Using FL, man. Thanks for the response :) I peeped your tape. Really liked "I'm awake" and "Hold me down". They're not exactly what I consider "soul", but they're dope anyway ;)

"Vibe with Us" sound's sweet. haven't felt that vibe in a while
Good Work man

Returned your feed man ! Glad you liked them. Any simple suggestions on how I can achieve that fatter sound ? (I know there's a whole lot to it, but yeah .. I'm accepting all kinds of ideas :D )

Thanks bro! You could use Eq & Compression on the drum group to create a fat drum sound. Try slightly boosting some mid/low frequencies. Same goes for the other elements of the tracks, but if you'd only fatten up the drums that would already change the overall sound of the song

Thx man ! I'll take that into account on my next beat ;)
