What style do like best and why do you feel this way,
Me Hard House, big driving bass lines

on the day that's in it, i'm reminded of the French presidential election

I find that hard trance does not motivate me to dance as much as hard house. I spin uk hard house and it is my passion. There are so many elements incorporated into this style including trance , house , breakbeat, and anything else. When a hard house track hits, the true stompers hit the floor and go wild, I love the stuff.

i can move to hard house. hard trance requires a little stronger chemical intervention. which isn't my bag.

there is a bar in santa monica that does hard house on i think saturday night, and it's a BLAST. not my favorite style of music, but the dj does it up right and it's a totally bouncin' drunk party.

I think it depends on what mood im in wether I'll spin Hard-House or Hard-Trance. But it seems more often then not that I'm spinning Hard-House than Trance.

I love both genres, but Hard-House gets my blood movin'

later.

:bat:

I play both styles, who knows what is hard house (when you say hard house that could cover the bouncy stuff, hard stomping stuff or ya tribal stuff). hard trance theres so many crossings of the genres now. Variety is the spice of life that way your sets will never become stale.

i HATE them BOTH.

No, I dont..actually I just said whatever I thought would get you guys mad..hehehe...but naah..I used to like hard trance...but then I sort of converted my style - I cant really appreciate hard trance because generally its not very textured...sort of like a quick orgasm (build, break, blah - next song) so I'd have to go with house...although I like the slower stuff better...

I don't like either one. UK Hard House is so 5 years ago in the UK and now it monopolised the sound in the LA scene. One time I heard it in Thailand; I covered my ears, screamed and ran. Plus, Hard House, Epic Trance, NRG started sounding the same. And it's all just a 4/4 drum beat followed by a synth stab on the next 1/2 bar, followed by a break with a voice over saying some crap like "welcome to the thunderdome". It's all just slowed down hardcore.
your styles ruined the club and rave scenes! It attracts angry kids.

Hard house pretty much ruined the electronic music scene in my opinion. I don't like hard trance either, but I'd pick it over hard house ...

As much as I love both genres and when I'm producing a song may go into one genre or another, It has to be Hard House that takes it for me cos it has more of a groove to it while still being dirty and pounding.

I think my all-time favourite Hard House tune is 4 Motion - Over For Me. This is a full on party tune that is hard, pumping and bouncy!
