how do i record mono in acid pro 6

When you insert a channel to record, on that channel where the record button is ,there should be a little speaker icon, hit that your options should appear. mono, stereo, or left and right.
 
your right. acid only gives you left right and stereo inputs. now if you are recording thru mic it all depends on how you are doing this. i assum you have the mic hooked up in a mixer then the mixer into your soundcard. if thats the case just send the outputs from your mixer from 1 channel either left or right. then select the same on the acid channel this way you will get mono. but your mic will record stereo. i know this is the way you dont want but that is the only way you can get mono i think.

Im having this same issue and ive looked to switch over stereo to mono but I still cant find it any advice?
