Compost, JCR, Om, Tilted, Blue Note all put out some jazz house/nu jazz. Glad to see there's a lot of interest in this music right now!

Of course Mattu, ya' know. Jazz is sweeet :)

Check out this compilation:

Saint-Germain Cafe: The Finest Electro-Jazz Compilation

I bought it some weeks ago and I still think it's the best album I've ever had.

:hello:

Cool, I'll check that out.

Have you listened to any of the Om Lounge volumes?
They're mellow, but hell good compilations :monkey:

I just bought Sounds of OM volume 1 and am just giving it a spin for the 1st time now, sounds pretty sweet, I am well into the Naked Music CDs: Nude dimensions series. Volume 1 goes down well whilst working, chilling and spending time with a lady friend!!!

if I like Naked music will I like all of the OM series??, They seem to have a lot of the same artists, ie Miguel Migs.

Also check out some of the Hedkandi series for some jazzy/disco/funky house.

Welcome aboard, Ramo'n :victory:
We are glad to have you here.
There are not so many members that appreciate nu-jazz and similar stylez herein compared with House, HipHop, D&B, Trance etc. but this is hopefully about to change - for a new era ;) I am sure we all can contribute to something via exchange of information.

oh yea the new megashira record is also pretty dope too. :hello:

Niice,

I also came across some really nice soundwaves released from the 2000black label, which is a label run by Dego, the other half of 4 hero.

Much of the stuff released thus far on the label can be heard over at Goya distribution's website... it seems they distribute for independant labels..

www.GoyaMusic.com

when ya get there, the music samples are listed in the Goya catalogue section...

alot of good stuff, including the works on a compilation called "Tthe GoodGood"... Hella good vibes! Its the next CD i buy for sure..

check it out when you get the chance.
peace

nu jazz ?

I think the reason that the "nu jazz" thing has become so popular is because people are seeing that electronic music isn't all beeps and beats, there are some very talented people out there making some serious music.
Look at st Germain -Tourist
It has to be one of the best Electronic/Jazz albums ever made, it's so slick that it somtimes sounds as though it isn't electronic. The amazing thing about Ludvic Navarre is that he only got into music through computers......so there is hope for us all!

I completely agree with shelton. i must confess, i find his tracks inspirational to some degree, just because he got into music through computers. it really does give some hope for us all.
