Now I don't know if it is just me but this has been bothering me for sometime. Have any of you heard Consequence's song "Caught up in the Hype"?
If not here's a link:

Now I don't know if it is just coincidence but, the delivery on this song sounds exactly like Gold Digger . So much that I think Consequence wrote Gold Digger.

Now I'm no Kanye-hater or anything like that. I actually like dude...no homo...
And I know some of you might be thinking how I do know that Kanye didn't write Consequence's song but, after hearing that Jesus Walks was really written by someone it has me wondering now.

Well I just want to know everyone else's opinion on this. Need some entertainment while I'm at work.

"does he write his own rhymes, I sort of..." :(

So two songs have a similar flow? That means it must be ghost written right...

Rhymefest co-wrote Jesus Walks. Only a few lines, not the whole song. He was creditted for in the album booklet and at the Grammys.

He's answering the claims of ghostwriters with that line: "Does he write his own rhymes? Well sort of... I THINK EM, that means I forgot better shyt than you ever thought of". He claims that he doesn't write his rhymes on paper, like Jay-Z and Common.

Anyway, yea, I think Touch The Sky was written by Jay-Z because Kanye can't touch the sky only Jay-Z can. I think I'll start a thread about that later.

Yeah I already know where he's going with those lines. That's why i only quoted part of it cause it suited my hypothesis better. And its more than the flow. Its not like Fabolous(when he first came out) sounding like Mase(before he retired). The styles of writing are exactly the same like T.I. writing Bow Wow's "I think they like me verse". If you listen to both tracks you'll hear what i'm talking bout.

I still bump late registration on the reg though. Well let me get back to work. "I'll be late for that..."

I agree that the styles are very similar(infact sounds like Kanye at times), dont know if that means that Consequence ghost wrote the song. Quite like the song though. Like the Chuck D/Public Enemy samples, modern day acts just arent a patch on PE.

What if he did ghoast-write it? No one could make a complete masterpiece like Gold Digger but Kanye.

well i think noone can judge cause people will be juding before they even click the song link just from reading the title... anyone know wat i mean?

Ahahaha. As already said, that song is a repetitive gimmick track that was marketed extremely well and received by an audience who had sentiment for a musician they had probably never heard outside of Pepsi commercials in the 90's.

I think he did Gold digger on Def Poetry a while ago. So I'm pretty sure he wrote it.
