I have been seein the threads and how people are saying dj prem. has no talent because he doesnt chop his samples fully, he so called just ripps a couple of pieces and loop them together. Well, i have also been hearing that kanye west style is very similar. Ok everyone has the right to their own opinion. But instead of questioning the style in which they sample we should take closer look into the quality of music being produced, never mind record sales.

First Do You all like RZA, DJ Ski, Heatmakerz-If so why arent their talent being questioned like dj prem. or kanye. Meaning they all have a some what similar way of sampling. Kanye has even admitted on several occasions that he gets his sampling style from RZA. On Jay-Z's first album ,for all you hip-hop heads who do know that Reasonable Doubt was by far his best and most raw album, DJ Ski had some good productions on the album you may have the tracks "Politics As Usual", "Dead Pres. 2", "Im Feelin It" & "22 Two's". Good Music? Or not Good Music, because he loops his samples over and over.

2nd Kanye-He is by far thebest and most innovative producer in recent memory. Now lets check his track record shall we......umm i dont know-Slow jamz, overnight celebrity, jesus walks, through the wire, all falls down, down and out, dip-set forever, dreams, gold digger, diamonds are forever, drive slow, the cool, wouldnt get far, stronger, good life, cant tell me nothing, homecoming, comfortable, let the beat build, izzo, bonnie and clyde, stand up, you dont know my name, takeover, heart of the city, guess who's back, some people hate, encore, lucifer, & Common's last couple of albums.............
IDK is this good music.........
So it shouldnt matter about how they sample it should just matter about if the music is good music for hip hop. Maybe b/c his samples
are reconizable that people dont like his sampling style. But let me ask you if you didnt know where his smples came from or no one had ever heard the songs where he got the samples would it be different. For example in 96 when jay z came out with dead presidents no one said anything about the piano sample thay he loops over and over.

PS Just Some Food for thougt.............

ohh wow I am dope I chop samples fully

**** off

Lol yeah thats actually how people is starting to act. I don't really care if people just takes a 4 bar loop and lets it run, as long as the **** sounds cool. Sometimes it even sounds better when you dont chop up your samples and just use a loop. It's not about how it has been produced, it's about how it sounds!

In my opinion you can get respect in three ways: Making a beat that's dope, or making something that you just couldn't do yourself. Or both
