Hey guys, so here is something I've started putting together.

It's far from complete but i'm getting a general feel and direction for the track as well as the sort of sound im ultimately going for.

I'd love some creative ideas, some feedback on my current mixing, etc

All feedback is good feedback.

Let me know what you like, if there is a certain part you feel I should emphasize and maybe build something around or maybe something I should scrap and completely relay a new element.

Nice remiiix! Where did you get the vocals ? Awesome!
 
its good mate, the melody is really nice, everything sits in the mix well. Just try playing around with different layering and melodies throughout the track, maybe have an intro? just the vox, kick and some kind of pad sound. Bring in the bass a bit later. try adding one or two more variants of the melody to add some diversity! great sound so far tho, vocals sound sweet eq/mix is niiiiiice

Really thank you, I've been working away for years so to hear that tells me I'm heading in the right direction.

I'll definitely start layering some sounds up to get it sounding a little thicker and fuller and the intro is definitely to be made. I've got some ideas floating around for that already :D

I think its good just feel a bit empty , maybe add some chord around 1min would be dope , great work overall!
 
The mix sounds solid to me. The bassline at 3:41 is divine, love that one. I feel it's a bit empty though, maybe try some pads or something like that to accentuate key moments.
I haven't really listened to house or it's subgenres, so I'm not really sure how it's supposed to go. At 3:26 I'd overlap a synth stab over the kicks, might make it more interesting.
I don't know what more to say, I don't have too much knowledge of this genre. I think it will sound great when it's finished though.

I think its a really good direction you are going in. I personally just imo, would want a bigger kick and clap coming in but thats a personal choice. Its definitely a nice vibe and its working for me. Maybe it does take a bit of time to pick up but i look forward to your finished project.
 
vocals fit the melody why there is a space in the middle. its boring
you should try to add some variations i think
 
Nice idea, although in the second part of the song, the lyrics seem to be 1-2 beats ahead of the music.
