what's good yall, I wonder, is lollipop using a sample? I mean I listened to Diana Ross & The Supremes - Reflections, and at the very start, it has the same waterdrops... Just listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwZ58oPx3RU&feature=related just wait in the utube video for the intro to end, and there it is.. now i'm not sure that's why i'm askin.

in the utube version, the quality is low, when u download it off lime wire, with 160

bits, u can hear it clearer.

im doubting its sampled...to me its just a synth type sound using 4 diff keys...from what i heard its not sampled....

yeah the first sound sounds identical but its not a hard sound to make with a microkorg, or other synths so its probably not a sample...

not that it matters though, lol, it's not like i'm losing sleep over this, u probably right, but i was just wonderin

No sample just check the production credits on the album...wikipedia

^ doesnt mean a sample wasnt used.. just not credited. they got in a lot of trouble for playing with fire and had to take it off the album. they got suied. i heard this sampled the deal or no deal theme song. lol

Add this watch?v=fy3yKxl7M3E behind youtube.com :P
deal or no deal thingy , nothing new.

naw I highly doubt its a sample......Even though that did sound similar...

Because I remember I downloaded a Lollipop acapella to remix....but dat main sound was loud enough to hear but sounded bad....So I recreated it with a synth in FL studio dat sounds EXACTLY like the sound. So much so that when my cousin heard it he thought it was da original when da beat first started......

So basically Im saying if dat sound was in my library then Im SURE Jim Jonsin has the original sound in a synth in his sound library....

yea da bomb, u prob right. I just wondered when I heared that sound like wtf lol

just cuz it says it wasnt sampled dont mean they didnt take that sound and play it in different keys... Cuz they also used that pattern

If you're using FL, open the sytrus, and use Celestal
(or something like that), and play on you keyboard:
WWWWEEEERRRRTTTT. And there you have it, the
Lollipop melody!

i actually read somewhere that the track is based on the theme from 28 Days Later. it's not sampled but if you listen to the theme you can hear where theyre comin from.

i was thinkin just like suspense... and btw lvngdead, I didn't ask who Lil wayne is targetting his tracks at, and I love lil wayne btw, no homo, only I also think he on the way down lately.

lil wayne is a retard who makes music for retarded children.

thats off topic son lol

but i herd they (whoever produced it i forgot who) used a preset off tweakbench's tb-peach

I just found that Supremes - Reflections song the other day too. Man it totally sounds like it was taken from that but I'm pretty sure it can be made on just about any synth, after all it was probably made with some oldschool one in the first place.
Anybody made a good remix of lollipop?
I'd like to hear it...

The Predator VSTi has a arpeggio that sounds identical to the Lollipop intro. I had replayed the part, tho i think it may be a lil outta tune.

its just a simple suare wav form with nothing done to it except reverb is added...you dont have to make it just go to an empty patch on a synth and only use one oscillator...with square..and thats it
