Monitors, Monitors, Monitors?

This is an area that I don't know much about. I almost get bored reading the specs for Monitors. But I've learned from experience that talking to other people online, that I learn a lot more then by just reading specs.

First off, for the price I kinda' like the Alesis Monitor One MK2, $249.
Has anyone got any experience with these.

Also, I may not be getting any monitors for about 4 months or so; so does anyone happen to know if there are any other MONITOR series coming out in the coming months. Something that would be comparable to the price, and that might be better?

So, let's start another, "what's best, for the 'budget' price range" type of thread.

I used to have a pair of Alesis Monitor ONE + RA100 amp, and now I have a pair of Event 20/20bas so I can help you for sure ;)

The event are amazing, and I paid 699 dollars for them. I went online and printed the cheapest price I found. Then I went to a regilar music store, and they HAD to beat the price (god bless america!)
