Got a 700mhz 128 Ram with SB Live sound card and I'm HOOKED!! Got a cheap Midi keyboard and I'm plugged in. I'm very impressed with the sounds you can get from the net and Sound fonts ect... What I want to know is what software should I be looking for so I can take a simple sound font, wave file, and basically rip it to peices!! I.E. Roger Waters Pink Floyd. Big Effects kind of a thing. I checked out some Synthasizer software and it looks like you can only use there specific sounds. Can someone educate me? Am I going about this all wrong? Thank you all in advance.

RECYCLE

Get a copy of Recycle by Proppellorheadz.
It's a very good wave editor for 'chopping up' samples.

Try here;

(not sure if this url is quite right)

On the site i'm sure there's a demo you can download.

Yes. Also check out soundforge, cooledit by syntrillium and even fruityloops (I hate to admit it, but you can teak your samples in quite cool ways).
