How is this bridge made...???

Omarion - Entourage

This song is a fcukin' hit and its catchy as hell. This is the kind of R&B track I wanna make.

Now with that said on the bridge of the song where the chords come in (if you have good knowledge of music theory or are good with keys this question is for you), lets say for example this song is in A flat major would the chords in the bridge contain all the notes in the A flat major scale???

Dude...I just want to know how chord progressions in bridges are formed.

No, it doesn't have to contain ALL of the notes, mostly just some of them. Have you tried googling for "omarion entourage midi" ? you can find the midi file, then google "van basko karaoke player" to get a midi player and you can see the chords..

oh.. i misunderstood ya post fam.

well ya, u can get tha midi file, then import it to w/e u use.

ok.. so ur askin how bridges are formed. well... i usually create bridges and whole beats (every instrument) all from my head. i got good at makin tha beat in my head first, then puttin it down... because i kno all of my sound, and i can just envision wats gon be needed.. like if i need 2 create a new sound, i can do it ez.

anyways. there are a few ways u can do 2 create a bridge. u dont gotta use all tha notes in that particular scale. just come up wit progression in that scale. or move off into a diff scale that sound good comin back 2 tha verse/chorus. just use ya ears man. best thing u can do rite now, because its sorta hard 2 explain how 2 make a bridge. because it could be diff each time.

I think I know what you're saying...

Not to get too dam technical with the whole situation, but the bridge is sort of an ascending progression and continues until it gets back to the turnaround chord (Fm7)...starting off Bm7-Cm7-DflatMaj7. Then Dflatm7-Eflatm7-Em7. Em7 and so on until it gets back to the turn around. Anyway, like one of the people said, use your ears. This song has a style similar to late 70's songs. Listen to some Stevie Wonder songs. His chord changes/progressions are a little complex, but they're tight as hell! Or listen to Michael Jackson Off The Wall & Thriller album. Some of the songs on there have some cool bridges and breakdowns.
