REAPER 64-Bit running 32-bit bridged plugins?

Okay I use Reaper 64-bit for mixing. I know the core application is 64-bit but a lot the plugins I have are 32-bit. I know Reaper bridges 32 bit plugins and that's all good, but how does this really work?

Does this mean that I can still use more than 4GB worth if RAM with 32-bit bridged plugins? I mean are only the plugins themselves limited to less than 4GB?
Can I still fill up more than 4GB of my RAM running 32-bit plugins?

or I am completely limited to using less than 4GB of RAM since the plugins are 32-bit?

I've searched all over the net but I've found nothing that answers my questions.

Thanks in advance to those who will answer.

Use with confidence.Once a plugin is "bridged"... that means it's being allowed to access your system's full memory. So no.. there should be no limits whatsoever to be concerned with. It's bridged... that's the point. The 32bit plugins are no longer constricted to 4GB of RAM.

If somehow Reaper's bridge is different (which I seriously doubt)... you can grab Jbridge.

You can always test it. Just load up Kontakt or Omnisphere/Trilian if you have it and load up libraries until you're over 4GB.

If you don't have anything that can go over 4GB... then you kind of don't need to worry about this topic at all.

Big thanks CPhoenix. This gave me big relief. I guess I don't have to be wary on using my fave 32 bit plugins.
