did cool & dre replay the melody or did they sample it directly? i was watching vh1 and heard a 80's song that sounded very similar to blow. to bad i wasn't paying attention to who the artist/song title was.

They played that. I don't think it's sampled the melody is pretty simple. They used presets on the motif es for the beat.

nah bruh^^^

(djlarceny) I know exactly what your talking about because the first time I heard the first couple of seconds of the melody I hummed out the rest without previous knowledge of the whole song...

Just don't know what song it was though

that beat is hot. did u hear Pusha T (clipse) spit over it? he ripped it. the track was called "reup on blow"

finally!!!! somebody knows what i'm talking about ( problemchild ). my local dj/producer homies are to young to know about stuff like that. when it i heard the original melody on tv, i knew that blow was sample or replayed from that.

sounds like presets to me. cool and dre dont sampel that much..they pretty wack too

they used to sample all the time. now they are using more keyboards and ****, but when they first came out they were almost all samples.

i think cool and dre go hard mayne they got slaps peep out "keep it goin" j valentine ft. keak da sneak that beat go 18

But what I'm saying is that the melody is simple and I dount they heard a record and replayed a sample. I made a beat last month and come to find out that the chord progression I used was used in a delfonics record over 30 years ago.. I read a interview where kanye said that some of the beats he co-produced with jon brion sounded so much like a record from the 70's that he was scared to put them out affraid that somebody would and say he sampled them. But I could be wrong. The melody seems too simple to sample to me.
