Snares and How Many Steps In A Bar?

first i would like to know how many steps are in one bar of hip hop?...and second where do snares typically land for hip hop composition using 1/16 notes. any help is much appreciated...thank you.

Anyway, how it relates is that at 1/16th note resolution, 16 steps equal one bar (or better called a measure) and the snares at the most basic level are placed on steps 5 ad 13.
