Subliminal Messages

I ran across a vid on youtube talkin bout hidden devil worship in rap. You know....play the song backwards or play it slow and hear a message. They say Jay Z, bone, 3 6, etc. do it. I just wanna know what yall think about that? Think its any truth to it?
 
they say on the stay fly beat the voices where edited to make it sound like they are chorusing "lucifer, my king, my brother" or somethin like that, i can't make it out myself, but on alot of 36's old stuff, they do got alot of whispers saying some crazy stuff
 
They named themselves 3 6 mafia and bone had a song about the quigi board so I dont know man
 
well just listen to mystic styles cause thats when they had alot of overt messages, but since then its gotten less obvious

i thinks mystic styles is their best album anyway, one of the few cds they have that i can listen to begginning to end without skipping any tracks

Got pissed off at how ignorant those ppl were. And how that so-called "Reverned" didnt even tell the whole truth. He never played it forwards, In fact he straight up lied.

I'm sure you heard of the Gray Album, by Dj Danger Mouse. For those of you who havent, the Grey Album is a mashup of the Black Album by Jay-Z and the White Album by the Beatles. That specific song, 'Lucifer9', was not a real song, it was just a joke done by Danger. He just took Cloud 9 from the White album, played it forwards at first then played backwards halfway through (if I remember right), and took some words from Jay-Zs Lucifer and made him say something else. If listen to it forwards, you can hear that its not subliminal, there is nothing else present, and it obvious Mouse wants you to play it backwards.

That's BS, i have heard that theory and it is not true. Stay fly is an old Willie Hutch sample. If you listen to it, he is just scatting.
 
I''m pretty sure Lucifer wold like to come on earth him self and kill the ell out of us all, and destroy God if he had it his way.

Some songs may contain stupid Satanic messages, others just may sound like it.

Lucifer was cool before the fall though, I knew him when he was a good.
 
I'm amazed that people believe that Jay-z or whoever else had the brilliance to come up with the perfect lyric and find the perfect beat that when played backwards would reveal messages.
When something is played backwards it sounds like anything you want it to. If it was so clear I think it should be heard by all, and not have some people say "I can't hear it." If you are looking for something to be there then it probably will be.
 
I don't know about the atrists listed, but check out reversespace.com. That's all the do is take statements, speeches, and songs and reverse them and slow them down. It's not just rap, but also known in death metal and rock.

Really interesting... on that site they reversed a speech that Bush gave during him running on the first election... it said "Iraq will roll when they blast us". Dead serious. On speech from Clinton said something about Bush being a liar or something like that. I don't remember that one too much. I used to really be into looking that stuff up about 3 years ago.

It's not about anything being perfect... they say it's your sub-conscious that your pitch will change and itterate things that you are thinking at random.

I don't believe that they have found anything from Jay-Z however... I have to hear it to believe it... but I was just saying what I've learned from reading up on it.

I'd like to see your research. Kinda hard to believe that while recording Jay-Z will think "hmm. . . i hope my subconscious changes the pitch of my voice to reflect my devil worshiping ways, good old subconscious. . . always good for something.".

There are just too many variables to actually make any concrete claims.

The Willie Hutch issue, fake. If I remember correctly its a mixture of the background singers and Willie hutch singing.
And I'm pretty sure they weren't on stages singing "Lucifer, Your My King, Your My brother" that would have been a bit much.

I can't remember the exact words or whether it was a scat but I am certain it was just a sample that people tricked their brains into hearing something. Find the sample and speed it up yourself. I'm pretty sure you'll realize that there was no real editing done if at all.

No No No No... Jay Z not thinking... "I hope my pitch changes.." like you talking to someone that you don't really care much for and you thinking as you say something. Sometimes your pitch will make thing sound as though what you were thinking is being said when it's reversed and slowed down or sped up or whatever. The things that I looked up about this were all over the internet... reversespeech.com is the first stop that I ever took based on someone telling me about this. Other than that I just googled other things that I found and found somee thing talking about a possible reason of why it happens. Like I said... I don't believe all of them, there's just some that you can definately hear.

You are right... nobody know's the exact reason of why this happens, but things like the speeches that were done by Bush, Clinton, other Presidents, things like that where nobody is talking... you can hear something.

I even remember one came from a movie and a woman asked a child... "What's your name?" The boy then began to speak... when reversed the boy said "I'm not telling.". Believe it or not... there are people who study and try to find an exact reason of why this happens... but there is no staunch evidence to show why. It's only a theory that it's people's sub-conscious.

yeah, i know the song was sampled, but supposebly the voice was only edited on on the remix, not saying that i agree, just saying thats what i heard.
 
All those things about the speeches backwards, it's just random coincidences.

However..

A lot of my frieds SWEAR ON THEIR LIVES that if you reverse Led Zeppilin's 'Stairway To Heaven' there is a bunch of hidden messages about the devil and ish. Havent heard it myself but a lotta my friends swear it. Might have a quick look on youtube actually lol...
