Hey y'all,i'm postin here cause i need a few tips abbout what could i do with my voice to make it sound better.
I've been listening to rap music for about 2 years and i write lyrics in my free time a lot.
However,i never really recorded an actual song,i just found myself freestyling at school or other places and people told me im pretty good at it.
Recently however a buddy of mine (who i talked a lot about rap and other stuff) played a little prank on me and i decided to record a diss track to him as a joke.
After he listened to it he said it was funny, but i wasn't exactly very happy with how it sounded.

Don't look too much on the lyrics because they wont make too much sense to you as they're taken out of context (mostly about stuff i usually talk with him).
So,after this i want to keep recording songs because it's fun,but...
Problem is,my voice sounds way too high pitched.
I tried making it deeper with Audacity but im still not happy with how it sounds.
So,any idea on how i could my voice sound better?

its not gonna sound good for a while dude... for 2 reasons...

#1 you are just now starting to record your vocals, hearing it play back, and will have to "find your voice"
#2 you probably no very little on recording, mixing and how to operate DAWs

with that song.. I could tell your vocals was to loud over the beat... most rap songs are layered, meaning you record the verse 2 or 3 times and mix the 2 together so your voice sounds fuller.. Your voice sounded high pitched I would of put a lil echo on it and layereing would of helped...
But yeah, u just gotta keep going at it.. Most people aren't amazing rappers when they start out it takes a lot of practice.. Ii recently stumbled upon an old CD that had some of my very first rap songs I ever recorded.. and I was listening to it thinking "This shit is horrible. I cant believe I actually did this" and was so embarrassed of it I could barley even listen to the songs by myself.. And those was songs I actually paid to go into the studio and have a engineer who knew what he was doing mix the songs... I ant imagine how it would of sounded if I just recorded it at my house and tried to mix it mysef... But yeah the only thing you can do is practice.. Experiment with different voices, flows, experiment with different effects on your vocals and stuff and you will eventually see improvement

I like your voice dude. It just sounds like that because the beat and mix isn't good. This shit is funny though! Hahah keep it up.

Haha thanks man, yeah i basically recorded it real quick with Audacity to send it to my buddy quicker,i will try improving production in the future tho
