My friend an i had a drunk/pointless argument over what "D's" are...he thinks D's stands for dubs like 22 inch rims but i'm pretty sure that it stands for Dayton rims...most of the urbandictionay definitions said that it stands for Dayton rims, but a few define it as 22's....anyone know for sure what D's stands for and can help bring this meaningless argument to a conclusion?

Hell,I thought it was dubs too.

Anyways who needs dubs when you can rock
the factory sets! You have to admit, the late model vehicles come
with some nice rims.

well, a southern rapper referring to daytons in 2000+ is kind of odd to me. daytons aren't really as popular as say, miscellaneous 20 inch wheels. so dubs (20'') would be my guess.

"D's" and "DUB's" are two different things.

yeah, both are SHOES, but not ALL "D's" are "DUB's"...

but "DUB's" are ALWAYS "DUB's"

D's only stands for Dayton's.... nothing else.

If somebody tells you it stands for Dub's... they just heard or read something that was wrong.

It's like somebody arguing that 2 + 2 = 9 because they don't know math and heard it somewhere...

Dayton's were referred to as D's about 15 years before the word Dubs was even thought up.

let's not forget a Dayton can come in a DUB. DUBs are just any regular ass 20inch wheels. Daytons can come in '14 to '28's.

it's not farfetched to assume they were some 20 inch dayton's if it makes you happy. he mentioned "22's" in one verse and "big ole rims" in the other.

Just for the record, please don't use the word dubs in 2010 unless you refering to the mag. That's like saying ''I got bling bling''. And if you riding on 6's/8's/30's would you want some dude saying ''look at those dubs''.

Since we talking bout rims, what since does it make to put some 8's on a 84' Regal, and it's yor main form of transpo? Niggas holding up traffic and shit because they can't turn correctly. don't make no got damn sense. Bagging up to turn at a stopsign. That's about as ass backwards as a fatman in skinny jeans.

laugh, we're using "dubs" in a historical context to the song if it makes you feel better. and that magazine is garbage, heavy hitters is better.

I guess they don't realize how much that wears and tears an everyday car. or how wheels that size in general will deteriorate a car. on some cars i wouldn't go higher than 20 or 22. 24 is pushing it but it's becoming less taboo and more accepted everywhere.

If D stands for dubs then why in the hell did you say 22's? Lets think about this... what does dub mean when your purchasing some green? 20 correct? So if D stands for dubs then I think it's safe to say their 20 inches not 22.
