Thanks

even though its not much im so used to people saying negative on this site man.

I think they were just bull****ing in the scatch magazine. They have been clearly using the Motif since the beginning and thier latest **** still sounds like the motif. There was a video of them online making a beat for Lil' Wayne and he was using a motif.

I think niggaz be up in scatch just saying anything when it comes to gear.

^^^It's pretty much all stock motif sounds and samples. I guess they didn't wanna give away their secret.

ya this video shows them using the Motif

LOL at producers trying to throw off other producers by lying in magazines.

Yeah, that's what kills me. I've said it a thousand times before and I'll say it again. There are no secrets when it comes to the actual gear. Short run and "Beta" gear aside, almost NOBODY has something no one else has, so cats trying to hide things gear wise is just plain stupid. Now can you have a method of getting a certain sound? Sure. It's like a guitarists rig; many often chain effects to get their tone. The guitar itself might even be customized (much like making your own sounds in a keyboard/loading up your own samples). However, there aren't even a lot of guitarists walking around with gear no one else has.

But hey, cats like to feel important by pretending they have a secret.
Peace

yeah i don't get why a producer would hide what equipment they use in a magazine.

my theory is certain pieces of equipment have patches/engines which may define their sound and they dont want the whole word knowing if they can avoid it. im not necessarily talking about the typical motif, triton, fantom either but rarer stuff like a novation K-station, waldorf or ensoniq MR.

i dont send spam chain letters via myspace. and i hate the sounds on the fantom for the most part tho the sounds on the junos are dope to me. the triton gets so much hate kuz everyone has used it but its still the $hit. In an ideal studio space Id have a Triton and a motif runnin side by side wtih a million plug ins but that would be too much work goin thru stuff besides the fact that i mostly sample lol

i dont know then the spam on myspace had your name on it on the bulleten ,my sister and them be saying that the spammers use other peoples names and stuff to push the spam through myspace and stuff!!they need to get that spam on myspace under control before that goes dead for people!that fantom is the truth what are you talking.lol!!!!they replaced that tritom with the m3 workstation ,comes with more sounds and capabillies!!!!!!

i havent used the m3 yet and newer isnt always better i like the triton series. i dont dislike the fantom itself its a dope workstation i just dont like the sounds that come with it for the most part. the drums are on point i could do without a lot of the other sounds thats just me tho

naw it all the triton sounds and more in that workstation plus pads for drums and a color screen ,and i think the sequencer is the same if not improved!!

people gotta be haters if they dont want to help people by showing them what the cool stuff is. they are scared that if other people would make beats with it too, they would make better beats .thats hating .
i use a motif
i sample my drums and use them in battery (keyboard drums suck for the most part)
cool plug-ins
cool VSTs
