I can't believe I'm using "fell off" and Mya in the same sentence but what happened? Maybe I'm wrong but did Mya fall off? She used to be big, like Ciara or Beyonce at one point.

I haven't seen her mainstream in a looonnng time and was wondering WHAT has she been up to?

She done sucked and f**ked all she can to get ahead now its time for the next group of industry hoes to have they turn ala Beyonce. Ciara, Mya, Christina Millian, etc are history.
 
Well I definitely would not say Mya was as big as Beyonce but she definitely had her shine.

I was asking myself what happened to Mya too but I ask that same question about a lot of artists.

Yeah that "single" is weaksauce...she could've picked a much better song. Hell, I know she had options.
 
Nothing happened to Mya.
There is only so much time a singer yet alone a rapper will have.
Especially if you are in a "pop" category.
Some one will come along more popular.
People have to do stuff these days to keep themselves relivent i.e. Kayne acting an @$$ all the time just to keep his name in the head lines.
Matter of fact I never heard of Taylor Swift until the whole award interruption.

She was just another light skin woman with a decent voice.
As the other poster said she had her time same with Ciara, Christina Millian, Ashanti, J-Lo, Blu Cantrel, Olivia etcetera.

Beyonce hooked up Sean C. and her career went to the next level as far as fan base.
Same with Jenny from the block until the shooting.
Getting popular is one thing staying there is another.

My love is like woah was a hit but she is getting old and the whole appeal was how she was a young semi shy girl who was coming into her sexuality and girls related to that image. now that she is older it took away from that so all that is left is some average woman (no offense meant) I just mean her image.

So there are other more hotter girls out now. I mean damn, moving on with silk the shocker came out like a decade ago or something. She's old dogg. She just ages gracefully without us knowing

o ok well I saw her in the movie Chicago and realized she hasn't been around anymore.

I think she's getting work as a actor. I saw her on that show NCIS the other day.

Mya was eye candy...

She's run her course.

People get tired of looking at you and hearing you after a while.

Her voice wasn't amazing. Her songs weren't incredible.

She never seemed "****ty" though so I'm glad people even know her name...


You can substitute Ashanti's name above too...
 
I wish Rome wouldn't beat around the bush and just tell us what he really thinks
