why are my wav files so big after i render them in fl?????

when i track out the beat in fl studio and turn them into wav files, each file ends up being almost 40 mb each track!!! why is this?? the beat is only 3 minutes long

i go to file, save as, wav files, click tracked out (and yes i set all instruments on diff track) ...

why does it come out so large ???
 
You're kidding us right? Cos it's the WAV. it's not mp3, ogg, or whatever lossy conversion you could think of.

Wave files are uncompressed. So a 3 min wave file (at 16 bit, 44.1 khz) is going to be about 40 MB. That's very normal. With Wav's, you don't lose any quality, because they are uncompressed

The MP3 of that same audio material is going to be about 4MB. That's because MP3's are compressed. And the quality is less.

You can always use stems to save space(What are stems)

Don't feel bad OP I had the same question, when i make songs in reason.
to send tracks I rar them and upload to Rapid@#$%^. then give my people the d/l link.
And yes you are a noob lol, but It's ok Im one too!!!
