Why does he not care about the sh!tty sound quality of his releases?
 
Don't get me wrong...I think Escape Route is amazing....the only negative is the sound quality.
 
word... i had escape route forever and i listened to it once... only because of its sound quality... and not to mention his boring beat selection

i think the beat selection was fitting to the songs and the album almost sounds like 1 complete song, but its kinda bi-polar so you jsut gotta be in the rgith mood

I completely disagree with the "boring beat selection" comment.
 
I heard that the label choses the mixing and mastering, its sent to them, the send it to some hack and it comes back. before this joint dropped he said something like "The label fncked up the mixing again!"
 
I dunno but his mixes are usually bad. For once i just wanna see Joe put out a high quality product mixed right.

Listen to it! The first 8 songs I give 10/10.

It goes downhill a lil starting at 9 (We Outta Here)....that song is doodoo.
 
i can't listen to budden anymore since he showed how much of a publicity whore he is. i used to be his biggest supporter because he was the only jersey rapper doin anything, but then he found a webcam. from whoring his girl out to the world to constantly needling other rappers into dissing him, then backing down and creating the illusion that he's the bigger man for letting **** slide... he just lost all respect from me.

he doesn't respect his fans. he even turned himself getting punched into a media event. noone would have known about that **** if it wasn't for him blogging with ice packs and going to parties with a sling on.

he is smart, and he's good at getting people to pay attention to stupid ****, but at the same time he's insulting my intelligence if he thinks i'm gonna fall for that ****. so until he loses his webcam long enough for me to forget about his shenanigans, i'm not gonna be able to stand the sound of his voice.

he's just making excuses cuz he hears people talking but still doesn't understand what they r asking for. his mixes wen he had total control were even worse than when he signed to amalgam. he's just throwing up smokescreens so people stop pointing the finger at him.

if it was the label, how come everyone else on the label has good mixes?

I've never, in my life, seen Budden on video (internet) or Joebudden.tv so I guess I'm better off than you in that respect. I bet that if I've I seen what you have Jers, I'd feel the way you do. You and I have always had very similar taste.

As far as the mixes. I agree with you 100%...it can't be completely Amalgam's fault.
 
The only Budden I've ever listened to is on the Slaughterhouse record and "Pump It Up." I like him, he doesn't really AMAZE me but it'd be hard for anyone to shine next to Crooked I, Royce and Joell, I've never checked for any of his solo work either. But I'm a huge fan of Joe Budden TV, even more than I'm a fan of Joe Budden the rapper. He's got a funny way with words and there's usually some kind of comedy gem in every episode (like a drunken Joell Ortiz trying to bet money that he can outrun Budden) plus there's a lot of sick behind-the-scenes sh*t with Slaughterhouse, DJ Premier, Drake and other great artists. Great way to kill time
 
The Klasix had some really nice sampled joints on the Mood Music series. "Secrets" comes to mind...great tune.
