Sup
this beat is the most beautifully crafted beat i may have ever heard
how it was or made or what was used for it is a complete mystery to me and something ide rather never know
does anyone agree?
just the violin, drums and everything just makes this beat perfect
valentino's input is dissapointing because i think a beat like that shouldnt be used for the subject he is talking about (girls)
peace

There have been topics on this song before on FP. I am almost positive that Timbaland did NOT produce it. I think it was by some guy Tim. Not saying this is a fact but just repeating what I have heard.

ahhh yes
i always thought it was timbaland becuase he says "drop the beat tim"
its some guy named tim kelley
regardless the beat is amazing

If this is the Tell Me that is from Bobby's first album, it was produced by the production duo Tim & Bob. They are currently working with Patti LaBelle on her next album...

And those violins, hits, and other instruments are all samples from the score of The Last Samurai.

last samurai..
jeez
but does anyone agree that this is an amazing beat?

yes, i do agree. the way that everything fits together so nicely, makes rnb a lil more exciting. i remember seeing tim and bob's sp1200 on the forat site

Yes I agree one of the best RnB beats I ever heard.. The PRoduction DUo is Tim and Bob they mainly for RnB beats.. they got a couple joints on Bobby Vs new album but they arent touching Tell me or Slow Down.. They also did the joint from fab and Tamia INTO YOU which was a nasty beat as well

yo, they did a joint for this chick, shannon b, a while back, like maybe 3-4 months ago, but the myspace link is gone. anyone remember this/ the name of the joint?

i heard this beat for the first time on a mixtape goin around the LA area with a couple dudes from pasadena frestylin on it. the second i heard this beat i thought it was a masterpiece.... i had to ask everyone i knew to find out where it was from...

i think tell me samples "the one", the jet li movie. are you sure tim and bob aint timbaland and bobby valentino? cus i was reading an interview with timabalan like a year and a half old talkin about he was gonna sample oriental music from soundtracks and then said everyone else was gonna start doin it too , to copy him.. anyone else read that interview?

oh, i think the song is called "the one" then, cus i remember somthin about "the one"

that whole BV album was hot....slow down / give me a chance / i'll forgive you....there are lots of great songs off it. and he's dropping again like next month isnt he??

And the main instrument that plays the repeated phrase isnt a violin.....its supposed to be a soprano saxophone but its probably not real anyway.

the beats were way to good for Bobby in my opinion. "how did you get that in those jeans" sounds pretty stupid and trivial for a beat of that calibur and with the emotions it evokes. that was like having Dem Boyz rap over "song cry"

they shoulda put someone more grown like Musiq on it
