haven't been on in a while, just wanted to say I grabbed this the day it came out and it's fire, great **** mate.

After seeing all of the promotion and reading the comments I decided to download the mixtape myself. The cover was on point... Nice you did a good job with the cover art... as usual. All of the producers did an excellent job with the music. The only thing I wasn't feeling too much was Cambatta himself.

I think Cam is a talented MC but I don't think he uses his talent how it could be used. He has an ill voice, a commanding presence, great breath control, etc. My main issue with this tape is his excessive advertisement of his skills. Instead of putting his skills on display by making good tracks, he raps about how good he raps. I understand that ego has been a vital part to MC'ing, but this tape was just overkill. Imagine if Marvin Gaye made the What's Going On album, but instead of it being a socially aware record he just sang about how good of a songwriter/singer he was on damn near ever song.

I was disappointed with this because I know Cam is capable of much more. From listening to this tape it's clear that he has good taste in beats (in my opinion). One thing he should work on is crafting songs. As I've stated before, a majority of the tracks (about 20 out of 23) are about him being " before his time ", " over your head ", " better than every other rapper ", etc. I'm looking forward to hearing more from in the future because I know what he can do if he focuses.
