LOL at the guy who said neputnes are hard to replicate. I guess people werent around in the 2000-2003 years when everthing on soundclick was a neptunes rip off. If you have a triton you can make a netpune beat. Period. Also not many people sampling until kanye? WTF? [/QUOTE

In the music industry Kanye's work is APPRECIATED. People are thankful for what he gives em. He keeps it real.
But for the people that think Im totally ridiculous I really dont what to say.
I guess you dont know the difference between quantity and quality. Sure, the neptunes might of made beats for alot of cats but theyre still where they were in the first place. I thought this forum was about Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B.
I guess its changing to pop.

Lol, look up the definition for appreciated. it says
1. To recognize the quality, significance, or magnitude of: appreciated their freedom.
2. To be fully aware of or sensitive to; realize: I appreciate your problems.
3. To be thankful or show gratitude for: I really appreciate your help.
4. To admire greatly; value.
5. To raise in value or price, especially over time.

Ok back to what I said, What are you talking about?

Your statement, "In the music industry Kanye's work is APPRECIATED. People are thankful for what he gives em..." is sooo biased and is nothing but an opinion. What your in the industry, now. So how would you know what the industry feels about Kanye or the Neptunes...

and cant you see that the neptunes have mostly gone pop. Forget about your thug rep if you work with those cats, theyll soften up your image. Why you think Game felt it was justifiable to take shots at Jay-z. the so-called greatest rapper in the world. Jay-z started out as a hustler and now he's more of a p-diddy, with his button-ups and and puple label shirts.

I think its more of a fact than an opinion
that Kanye's work is appreciated more than the neptunes. Im speaking from a fans point of view, I admit, because thats where I started. The industry probably has a whole different view of things though. Im not a business man and my opinions are mabye a little too concrete for this subject.

The Neptunes were always "Pop" They always made popular music. Yeah, they don't make a whole lotta grimey beats, but that's alrights, that is what they choose to do...

I don't think they will soften up your image, because I really don't see them posing their will on any establish artist. Im sure if Jay wanted a grimey beat from them they would make one...

As far as Jay and Game, I don't know...

I believe they changed Jays image by giving the radio what it needed. It needed
"change clothes" and "frontin". Those songs went in my ear and right out the other. They had no meaning, they were just ear candy for you local radio station.
Ive heard alot of people say they didn't like those particular records, it kind of changed my perspective of the game and i hope if I make it big I never buy into the hype surrounding the neptunes.

So I think you should be mad a Jay and not the Neptunes. Trust me, nobody make Jay rap on anything he don't like...

I think Jay made a bad choice of beats when it came to the black album. He knew the black album would sell no matter what.
He was cocky at the time. Why dont I ever even hear it anymore? His first single was
not very good, either was his second or his third. The black album wasent as good as the blueprint or the blueprint 2 but people dont wanna admit it. Brush your shoulders off had an annoying beat, it crowds the song and overshadows his lyrics. All the beats on the album seemed to overshadow his lyrics, which Jay-z is best know for. He should of had just blaze do the whole thing, they make good music together.

Their both two different apspects of hip hop. The style they both have to to different to compare. I wanna listen to Dre when im tryin to burn somethin and kick it. Kanye is dope, but Dre's been around too long. Kanye is all about bringing new things out and trying to flip the script.
