Dr. Dre/T.I.'s "Sh*t Popped Off" recycled for Amerie song

She and Fab actually put good use to it, I liked this when I first heard it and I like the video too.
 
this has to be the most used sample of 09. Fabs verse is cool but i like the rick ross version
 
Wale used this sample on"momma told me" and his version was dope.
 
The Dr.Dre version was dope. I don't care what anyone says. The Detox leaks are amazing even in their unfinished forms.

What's exactly real about that shyt? They're both sterile, but the Amerie track at least samples a nice song! Neither are saying anything besides "you triflin" and "I need more"....blablabla. It would take more "soul" to sample and chop Kool's track than to write that song!

I hope Dre doesn't drop the leaked tracks from his album!

I disagree. I wouldn't consider the Amerie record R&B. There is definitely a Pop aspect to it. The Syleena Johnson record just reeks with true R&B soul. Amerie's record is very bland in execution.

Dre version is the best. It's actually produced by The Buchanan's.
 
Not feeling this, just like most Amerie's songs (but then again, I'm not really familiar with her music, just the songs from the TV/radio). She's fine looking though.
 
Amerie is one of those artists that is just there...she doesnt really have success but manages to stick around....she has a distinctive voice but IMO her music is rather boring...
 
I don't know that we can say anyone "recycled" this for 2 new songs, this sample's been around so many times that it was bound to come back again.

It's like Impeach the President, eventually that drum loop comes back again.
