Didn't even listen. Know songs by both and Tech is my dude. Regime for life. But gotta give it to Em. Not really fair though, styles too different.

Canibus, Redman, Yukmouth, Crooked I, Rass Kass are more of the "vs Em" type.

Bone, Twista, Flo-Rida, Yellawolf, Mystikal more of the "vs. Tech" type.

But don't sleep on Tech. he comes in second on this. But don't sleep on Yuk either. He blacked out twice on this, specially at the end. It's funny, folk think I cosigned Yuk as "my favorite rapper" because I worked with him. Actually I worked with him because I think he's one of the best rappers. Controlled destiny, lol.

When it comes to best, in which a lot of people say Em is the G.O.A.T and without a dout, to me that door is open for and body verse him. Anybody that has every said they the best is open to get versed by anybody. Wouldn't be fair for Em to hole the crown for G.O.A.T but Tech can't take it from him because he raps a diferent style. It's like, Tech can do what Em does, but Em can't do what Tech does, or if he can, not on the same level as Tech.

True to a point, but, still left to opinion. "Fast Rap" don't impress me anymore than using 1/32 counts instead of 1/16s making a beat. The content means more.

Tech and Mystikal have lyrics that outweigh their delivery IMO, but nether has the lyrical content of folk like Em, Redman, Canibus, ect. IMO. But all just opinion.

True! Like IMO it don't take much to be lyrical, but it takes alot to be appealing. It's a lot of lyrical dudes, but they be missing something like emotion for example so what they wrote to be "deep" or the punchlines they say have no impact, they may not be versitile and every song sounds the same, they may appear like they trying to hard or too fascinated with theyself on wax. Same as it's a bunch of fast rappers that be missing something like energy. Sound bored when they spit, sound like they reading, the words they saying don't make sense, they say mother****er 40 times in one line, they have no topics, and on and on.

Speaking of 1/32 counts, I like the fact that Tech has used 1/8T counts in his lyrics.

Going with Em....

The way he shits on the top emcee's when he's on songs with 'em is ridiculous.

I hope Wayne learned his lesson...

Tech is no joke though, he has hella wit in his stuff but Em is a master on delivering what he wants to deliver (beat and all).

Not to go off topic... but they both got to study this dude... SICK!!!

ima st. lou MO boy not really feelin tech nine or any kc MO hip hop

I remember back when tech used to ride shotgun in Scoob's Suburban back in the mid 90's. Big Scoob is one of my OG's and I'm happy to see that he finally made it...been a long time coming.

Nowadays Tech is nowhere near as innovative as he used to be. I remember one day in like 95 or 96 we were on the block and he just started spittin' backwards...while this was nothing new for Tech to do while we were all hanging out, he added some flare to it by doing everything that he was previously doing...but in reverse.

Tech is talented but I feel he has adjusted himself to be more industry friendly as opposed to being that dude that he used to be. He's still dope, but I wish you dudes could hear the Tech N9ne from the early to mid 90's. He was embarrassing dudes back then...and as much as I love my hometown...KC needs to develop their own identity musically and stop trying to sound like the Bay. That has been a problem since like 91....

Going with Techn9ne.

Unlike most people I don't have some explanation for this but with the exception of a few em songs I rather listen to Techn9ne.

Far from an Em fan, but I will post some songs I love by him. I'll scatter them out.

Kool G Raps is like the mystery guy in movies who always give the good guys a complicated riddle on how to defeat the impossible to defeat boss. He can easily destroy the boss himself.....easily, but at the end of the movie he shows up at the boss's defeat to congratulate them on there victory. You get to see him fight only in flashbacks during movies. On part 3 of the movie he shows up and at the right time to save the good guys and defeat a boss. They all learned bits and pieces from that moment also.

When this album came out, I didn't know.....til I was in Sam Goody and this was in repeat with a bunch of folks in there going crazy!!!

That's the type of shit that made me want to rap.

Timbaland made me want to make beats...

G Rap is just ****in' incredible. If the hair on the back of your neck doesn't stand up when you hear him spit... change genres.

Oh they both did for sure. Basically if you're a serious rapper you have to study him. If you study classic you don't ask yourself if you have to study Bach.
It was kind from Rick Ross to invite G Rap on Albert Anastacia and basically pay respect to the guy who originated his concept of mafioso rap.

As for the topic, i won't choose. Both great rappers with different styles. Love Techs fast rap, his dark concept and the beats that come with it. Sometimes his albums lack are heavy to listen to in a row though.

Em has already given kool g props for being one of the best.
Premier has put kool g in his top 5 and he didn't even put biggie nas or pac in it. (He put old school cats like melle mel and shit)

Melle Mel, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane & Rakim.
hahaha when did it go so wrong?

You can't deny the impact eminem had on hip hop.
Dude made countless international classics/hits.

There are only a very few ppl in music where you can really tell, that they're made for this. And i don't mean that one hit wonder 15 minutes of fame shit. I mean some are literally made for this music thing. Em is one of them dudes.

This cat is easily as big as pac, no doubt.

Yea i would consider myself a em "fan"...but that doesn't change the fact how big this guy is internationally.
