ok.....so I have alot of drums that are in seperate refill packages. I want to make one big file of drum samples. i tried to just drag the samples out of their refills, but Reason won't let me...Is there a way to extract sounds/samples from a reason refill and put them in another file?

Although I've never tried it myself, there's a refill unpacker out there. Just google it and good luck!

Yeah...I googled it, but I couldnt find a Mac version...

If you really want'em that bad, just make a "song" with a bunch of 1-shots of your fave drums, and export the song, and Viola! (pronounced: wah-lah) One big file of drums. If you place hits on 8th or 16th notes, they be easy to chop and use in other places. Hope that helped.

Just export 1 drum at a time as wav files. if you load them in Redrum, use the "hard velocity"(red button) make the song 1 bar and turn the tempo up, you'll get an uncompromised perfect 1 hit sample. I used to do it all the time when I rewired Reason to FL because I always preferred loading my drums in FL's step sequencer.

Levlove, will this degrade the quality of it being processed through reason if you do the one shots?

Edit: Ahh-Ha, so deRaNged...will the "hard velocity" help give the best export of the file?

Hard velocity on the ReDrum is basically the sample at it's normal volume. Don't adjust any other knobs, and it will be identical to the core sound. Don't try it with the NNXT or NN19, then you'll have to remove the "filters" they have "built into them".

If you make a sound file of recording them at 1/8th notes you can use the Fl slicer to auto chop them on that same interval.
