Obviously we all know which are the better decks, but, as with most, i am on a budget, so what i'm asking is, how MUCH better are the technics, and what are the major drawbacks of the Pt2100's.
See, the thing is, I can get a great deal on 2xPt2100's and a Pio DJM300 mixer, with carts, slipmats, cheapo phones etc., all new for £630.
However, to get the same setup, but with second hand technics will cost about £850, and, for me, that price difference is an enormous amount of work, waiting, and not to mention money not spent on vinyl.
So, is it actually worth getting the Pt2100's ( i can get a similar, but more expensive, deal for the 2400's, but i've heard the only difference is the lcd- is this true???)
or do they not have enough torque for touching the platter etc. (like a lot of non technics!)
ie. Are they really a load of junk and just not worth it, or can they perform pretty nicely with few drawbacks for someone wanting to mix prog.house in their bedroom?
Cheers,
