I just bought an MPD, and i'm using the FPC(Which is dope dont get me wrong), i just like the fl slicer alot because you can adjust the tempo and change the pitch etc, and you really cant do that in fpc, so what i want to learn how to do, is to take the chops from fl slicer and drag them to the fpc pads. However when i try, i get a "crosshair" type thing and it dosnt let me grab the chop, is there a way anyone knows how to do this.
?

or better yet, can someone give me a detailed tutorial on how to set up fl slicer to correspond with the mpd?

thanks a bunch

it aint possible. you will have to resample and then assign it like any other wave sound.

but why you dont just use the fl-slicer?

And if you want to stack samples i would rather use multiple tracks. or just clone the slicer track after you are done with changing pitch and so on.

For triggering slices it is best to have a MIDI keyboard, because you have the whole octave in a row, plus you can transpose to "seek" through the track and be able to trigger every single slice.

Your computer keyboard could be used too, but it only can be transposed by -/+ 1 so you won't get far with it.

I would use the MPD strictly with FPC and
a MIDI Keyboard (any with transpose will do) to use with Slicer.

And if you really want to use the FPC then remember that this will limit you to one single FX track for the better part of your song. I work with 20 tracks usually so i can always edit everything instead of merging it all. You can group them later in the mixer.

Hope this helps

open what you want to sample right click on the wavelength thingamajiggy, edit, trim what you want, save the trim somewhere. open fpc clear all your pads , click the pad you want to assign the sample to, then at the bottom where the sample wavelength thingy goes right click with load find your the sample you just trimmed and viola. make sure you got your mpd pads on full level adjust the cut offs etc and your good. you can also layer chit on that too. load up a snare with a kick / a clap with a snap watever man. hope this helped peace .

You can just drag it into a new channel and then from there you can open it up in sliced beats.

ok drag the slice 2 the step sequencer. then open a new slicer chanel. then drag that sliced beat into the chanel u just opened.

What version of fl do you have? In 6 it had slice x then they went to edision. You can drag and drop with slice x but not edision. You have to have both installed....

Unfortunately the FPC loses focus or disappears when the FL Slicer plugin is clicked and visible. The best possible way to go about dragging slices to the FPC is to use Edison or SliceX.

Watch the video below to learn how to use the Drag Copy Button for Edison that can also be applied for SliceX.

You can drag the highlighted samples into the individual FPC pads.
