i no it depends but on average how long it takes u? and u think software or hardware has a better workflow cuz that contributes to how long it takes? im just curious thanks

usually a anywhere from 2-4 hours and that includes mixin an mastering the beat and cutting the samples but im picky and will listen to something over and over for 20 mins. I prob take alot longer than most

20-45mins for Hip Hop
1-3 Hrs. for RnB
Sampling Takes a LifeTime Because its more than just making a beat its a way of life =).

Usually 1-4 hours to get the beat done sometimes, plus additional time for mixing... I use both hardware as well as software. I think hardware allows me to get my idea down better....

any where between 30mins to bout 2 hours, depending on the track and what mood im in on that day. lol.
like most i use both hardware and software. allows me to have a bit more fredom when producing.

I usually take about two days to do a song and a third day to really listen and tweak, then it's a wrap. So three days total. Doesn't matter what format .... hardware or software. I have a method to get things done on both, so it isn't an issue when putting things together.

45 minutes to about 2 and a half hours, and then i wake up the next day to arrange and mix it, which takes about an hour or 2.

the length it takes me to make a beat is not the problem. Once im into it i can finish a track mastered and all in like 4-5 hours. The problem is i go through like week, 2 week long droughts of beat block.

i haven't made a beat in a month!, and i'm not sweating it, so yo shouldn't be worried about 2 weeks pimp.

Hours, days, weeks even months. I'll probably dig up a beat from last year and finish it off.

Usually 2 hours but i usually don't mix till the next day..come bak with fresh ears and then see what the mix sounds like..also depends on the sample too..sum of that muzic is so crazy i sit there and listen to it for like 30 minutes b4 sampling..jus 2 spark that creativity..

About 45-1 hour for the beat... another 45-1 hour for mixing. Mixing will sometimes take longer than that.

This is also going off of the mindframe that I have the beat in my head at that time, and I didn't get stuck and move on to something else (which happens probably 3 out of 5 times). Or that I didn't sit back into something that I started from earlier. Or if my wife needs help with the kids while she's doing something, or if she leaves to go work out and my daughter is running rampid distracting me... or if my daughter kits random keys on the keyboard while I'm recording.

You get the picture... things can really vary in my house.

^^^Sounds like my producer Big Cee's spot lol..ya'll beatmakers have the most intersting homes, lol

usuall hour for beat, then an 20-30 min. to mix....i usually make like 3-5 beats a day, then the next day or so i come back and mix, like alternate days one for making, the next for mixing....also ive spent a couple hours on a beat b4 then ended up hatin it, but a couple i ve made in 15-20 min a bangers....i think the better beats tend to take less time cause theyre bangers to begin with and fall into place more easily. fresh ears are always good (and by the way if 3-5 beats a day sound like alot, dont get discouraged, cuz i dont have a "regular" job so im in my studio all day or whatever with no kids or wifey around lol) and i also might go a week without makin a beat too peace

I dont think its abou thow long it takes to make a beat but what quality of beats you do in the time you take to make a beat you can rush and have a polyphonic ringtone or take your time and have a banger
