Its a staccato trombone or bass trombone.

reverb + eq

I know how to EQ and throw Reverb on. I just feel like the specific VST & preset makw the sound more than the eq does .... Ill play with it though. Thanks my man. Anyone else?

It's HP'ed so try that out on some of your own brass. Idk if your ever gonna find the specific place this came from I wouldn't doubt it's from own of his pieces of hardware, a soundfont, some free vst like DSK Brass, or miroslav philharmonik.

What im saying is, unless you ask the dude himself, you will NEVER be able to know where this 100% exact sound came from.

But you can get at least a similar sound by finding either a VST preset or soundfont of a staccato trombone or a staccato bass trombone, boosting the hi's, and adding reverb.

Again... unless u talk to Johnny Juliano himself, you should forget about ever finding this EXACT sound and focus instead on ways to get as close as you can.

Still Can't Figure Out So I Decided To Post It Here.
Yes It Is A Johnny Juliano Track.
Not Tryna Bite Just WANT This Brass. Help Some Fam OUT !!!!

I know exactly where that brass stab is from. That particular program gives all of the brass instruments an indicative metalic color and buzzyness to brass stabs and higher velocity legato lines.

It's Wivi

wallender instruments.

http://www.wallanderinstruments.com/

Wivi uses wavetable modeled instruments. the brass instuments you're hearing aren't samples like East West or some kontact libraries.

Here's some other pieces with Wivi brass.

Here's a piece with Dry Wivi brass

Here's a piece with reverberated Wivi Brass.

You can try this VST at Trysound.com for 20 minutes free. It's very impressive. It can sound better than Symphobia's brass at times, but I think a combination of EWQL, Symphobia and Wivi can create the most realistic sound.

This Jazz piece really shows off what this Program is capable of.

The Brass is very impressive.

bruh jus use the (zsf brass soundfont) im sure you have it...its in all the dirty south kits.....

mix the hell out it...sounds like its in a telephone voice or something... remove all the mids...(on that first beat...i didnt listen to the second)

I would reccomend symphobia but it costs like a grand. Miroslav Phil might work or even wallander. Its all about stacking staccato and szforzando articulations then eq compress and a tiny bit of reverb
