I'm Thinking About Buying A Used Trinity, Is This A Good Idea Or Is It Better To Stick With Like A Triton Le?

If Anyone Has Any Idea Please Let Me Know

Thanks

OF Course it's better to stick with Triton, wichever one. The trinity is getting old and sounds outdated.
I dunno why ppl keep comparing much older versions versions of workstations with new ones as there is now comparison (wich is obvious otherwise there would be no reason 4 them to come out).

Great logic there buddy! Did you ever think that maybe the companies might just want to make some more money?

As far as I know, Trinity has the double filter that Triton lacks, so Trinity has better synthesizability.

Of course, there are drawbacks as well - Trinity responds very slow to the touch screen, limited polyphony, etc.

Tech wise the triton has a few features over the trinity and more polyphony but a chunk of the triton's sound set is the same as the trinity. It has MORE sounds and a larger ROM but a good number are the same they just added on.

Thanks 4 the comments peeps - i decided tp buy a Triton Le and i'm loving it!!

I was wondering this too.

I want the Korg sound, but I don't need all of the bells and whistles, the sequencer, the sampling capability, and the polyphony. Is it better just to go with a TR-Rack instead of a Triton Rack?

IMO, go with the Triton over the Trinity...I say this if the price difference is only a couple hundred. The sounds are very similar, like somone one said... there are basically more in the Triton, plus some features are easier on the Triton. I own the Triton Classic and think it is a solid machine. I don't know anyone who still owns their Trinities and I knew quite a few people with them (they all moved up either to Triton or other brands). I don't think you'll be screwed with the Trinity, just more happy with Triton in the long run...

Right...I know there is more on the Triton. I said in my post that I don't need a sampler, sequencer, etc. All I need are the sounds and effects. I know that there are a lot more master effects on the triton, but it has the same sample ROM (32mb) as the TR Rack....Also that TR Rack display looks really annoying.

Can any experienced Triton/Trinity owner comment on the differences between the ACCESS and HI Synthesis engines?

Sorry, I was at work when I read it, so a bit distracted and probably forgot you mentioned that...

:) I have both, Trition Rack and trinity, I wouldn't even bother with the Triton Le. The Triton Rack is something serious and throw String cards up in that, man listen............. My trinity is a wonderful tool, I use it to control my My roland XV 3080, my Trition Rack, and my Roland 1080.

You know what's funny I hear guys talk about old this and that. Listen, if it's old or new you want that engine, you can take a Trinity sound and put it in a new track it's how you USE the sound people. Not how old it is. If that was the case why do you think all the old Moogs, and Arps are back? Have different sources to make one track that makes it sound hot. I have had my Trinity since 98 and I can still use the sounds, there are no RULES to when you can use a sound.
