Hello,

Is there a way to change the sequence order on the MPC 1000?

Thanks,

Chris.

Say you have a seq 1 and seq. 2

copy sequence one to seq. 3 then seq. 2 to seq 4. then copy seq 4 to seq. 1 and seq 3 to seq. 2...

Youve just moved 2 to 1 and 1 to 2

Copy a track by highlighting the sequence and pressing the window button

Does he mean like, you want seq 5 to be your intro, your hooks are seq 3 and the rideout is seq 4 (for whatever reason they end up in that order, it;'s happened to me! lol) Could you "shuffle" them around so to speak to put them in order? As opposed to going to each one and muting out certain tracks or whatever.

I leave them the way they are and when it time to record my beat, i use song mode and put them in the order that way . . .

After creating a beat, my sequences are all out of order because of the vreative process (intro on seq 5, main beat on seq 2, etc.).

I know I can go into song mode for a structured playback, but I just wanted to know if I can rearrange the order of my sequences on the main screen, just so things are cleaner when I work.

Seems like ViceVersado found the solution.

I my opinion, if this is the only solution, it seems pretty archaic. Akai should consider checking this out.

Thanks everyone!

yeah, i prefer to just name each sequence, and once you go to song mode, it'll be very easy to put them in order. i hear you though . . . th best way to avoid this though, at kleats in my experience, is always work on one sequence - muting out as you go along if need be, and once you're done for good - just copy that first sequence over and over . . .
