Need a keyboard for making beats

hi people i need a keyboard that i can make my beats with i make hip hop rap beats and i want a keyboard i am at a extrememly tight budget i want something worth its price and is in my price range i a very cheap good roland or something like that

you probably want a triton, fantom, or motif, or one of the earlier, cheaper versions of one of the above.

edit: a midi controller plus software is also a cheap alternative

not a roland,.but check out the yamaha djx,..YOU WILL NOT BE,.DISSAPOINTED,., TRUST ME..there are no cheap rolands,....used $400, and up,.i hear the djx all over in jingles,.lots of songs,.this also has a sampler,.ribbon, controller,.and modulation wheel,. give it a try,.these are going up in price ,.cause,.catssee, the versatility of this ,.stealth looking keyboard,.i have,.an korg n364,.jv 1080 module ,.an alesis keyboard,.but ,.i cannot leave my djx alone,.i can .REAL QUICKLY,.get a beat ,.whole song out in a hurry,...hope i gave a lil help to you,.peace

Are you sample based or synth based? Either way you can cop an ASR-10 for $700 and buy sound disks at syntaur.com. Asr-10's are the jesus keyboards for hip hop beatmakers.

get a cheap midi keyboard and reason 2.5 and ur set..

yeah i use the djx2 and i love it...it has alot of gritty sounds for hip hop and the piano sound on it isn't bad either...i had mine for like 3 years and still use it faithfully...and the sampler on it too is pretty good for hip hop...alot of bass sounds alot of horns, strings and synth sounds too plus drums it is a very inexpensive keyboard to get started with...
