all neyo's songs pretty much sound like a remix to .... um. i think it was his second single.same guitar, prolly hittin 1 or 2 of the same notes and the same lyric arrangement,he's very flat.
dude your a fukkin retard! lol, you don't know anything about RnB music, or NeYo. This probably the dumbest post ive heard anyone say on FP. Majority of his songs have a similar sound because it was produced by the same producer Stargate. Don't you know producers have there own sound. Obviously there gonna add there trademarks sounds to all there songs. Ne-yo is a great writer and he's a decent artist to.

Ne-Yo is very versatile in a good way, Stargate, well... they are very repetitive to say the least, except some recent things th've done, I guess the finally realized it.

You can also tell when the Dream, Johnta Austin, and Tank wrote for an artist. It's called having a sound. Sexy Love doesn't sound like Unfaithful, which doesn't sound like the stuff he did for Mary, which doesn't sound like the stuff he did for Janet. Maybe you should do a more thorough look at his discography before you claim he is just doin the same thing.

Plus if you're tired of hearing the same beat blame Stargate, even though I don't exactly know how this is the same as their other work. Ne-Yo last I checked did not make the music.
Nice post, you know what your talkin about unlike the other dude chilla who has no clue! And this song was Produced by Stargate! Ne-yo's producers. They are the sickest RnB producers.

Yeah I love stargate to death, but I was peturbed when they made "With You" for Chris Brown...they kept going with their success from "Irreplaceable." Matter of fact, about a year ago they were working on their own album and one of the artists they were workin with got pissed cuz their tracks sounded too much like his lol (a Europen Artist...they were makin a pop album)

yea i feel you. Stargate is hands down my favorite producer. Don't get me wrong, some of there songs do sound very similar but thats there style. All producers are gonna incorporate there sound/style of production in all there songs. You always know its Stargate when you here there classic snare rolls examples(Beyonce - Irreplaceable, Neyo -Go On Girl, Jordin Sparks - Tatoo. and high hats examples(Rihanna-Hate that i love you, Trey Songz - Can't help but Wait, Neyo - Sexy Love) the harp, guitar and strings they always use. IMO they will murder any RnB producers, they make endless hits after hits. There melodies are my favorite. They also produced the biggest pop dance hit of the year in Rihanna - Don't stop the music

Don't forget "Hate that I Love U"

Yeah them Norweigens are sick with it. Hit after hit after hit. They will continue to do it...it's in their blood. It's their blend of pop and rnb that changed the way a lot of people look at this music.

This new Usher song could have easily been sung by N'Sync in the 90's and we would have hated it lol.

I think Usher definitely has another worldwide multi-platinum/diamond album on the way. With his voice and the help of Stargate, Neyo, Timbaland that's a pretty sick start. And he had another collab with Luda. I'm sure he'll be workin with the Underdogs and Brian Michael Cox again. I don't really want to see too many other artists on this album besides ludacris and maybe one other rapper.

Foreal, I was just gonna add that the only RnB producers that are close to Stargate's level are B. Cox, and The Underdogs. As far as RnB goes Stargate makes the hits. The Underdogs new track Jordin Sparks No Air feat Chris brown is gonna blow for them!! I think one time i looked and Stargate had about 5 songs in the top 20 in billboard charts. Like a month ago. The tracks were:
Chris Brown -With You
Jordin Sparks - Tattoo
Rihanna - Don't Stop the music and Hate that I love you
and Elliot Yamin - Wait For you

i think Neyo go on girl and Trey songz are charting around top 50 billboard too.

lol u gotta jump on dude like that..

its cool to have ur own sound... but i get wat hes sayin even if it is the same producer.. to bang out similar soundin beats is wack... i say try to go different everytime u do a beat up... trademark is good.. repetitive is wack.. wats the point of makin a record that sounds similar to a previous joint u did.. y because it worked the first time?? l

ook at polow.. hits u with london bridge.. then cry out for me.. then ushers new joint... trademark is good to a point where ppl kno its ur record.. not if it sounds the same as before

Some record execs and artists tell the producer hey I want a song like irreplacable or I want a song just like I hate that I love you. As the producer you gotta eat right? I'm more than sure they can create something totally different.

exactly!! A&R, artists, and record executives go to certain producers because they want that similar feel for a previous track they made. Im sure Chris Brown's ppl's were asking for Stargate for an irreplaceble type beat and that's what Stargate did! Executives will go to certain producer because they want that type of production style from them. Exm. They will go to Dre, or storch for the west coast type beat, go to Timbo for the crazy drum patterns, go to kanye or just blaze for there sick sample based beats.

Yall cats too worried about other producers hustle...thats like criticizing Iverson for using the same crossover. Well, his crossover is why he is a superstar in the league. And if it keeps working for him, then he is going to keep on using it.....Once the hits stop coming thats when stargate is going to change(if it aint broke don't fix it). If you perceive it as a weakness, then don't complain about it, start taking their customers...

well i was jus givin my opinion,it's not like i roam the streets bashing ne-yo lol

this track was hottt!!!! Same sound but ya'll didnt complain when Lil Jon overuse his synths! haha LOL!

lol,i dont pay attention to jon so it wouldn't make a diff.

The Compound producers get on my nerves with that FL studio clap/snare. Please give me something different? But I love this song. Could be a big single in my opinion.
