Purchasing mixer.. RANE TTM56 or ECLER Hak 360???

I'm getting ready to make a mixer purchase and would like to know what you guys think. Rane or Ecler. I'm leaning toward the Ecler being that I can get it for about $100 cheaper than the RANE. I can get either so I'm asking what you all think. Holla and let me know which one I should be getting.. I found the Rane for $649 plus case, and the Ecler for $539. Is the Rane worth the extra $100+???
 
for sure the rane every time,all of it is beatifull.ecler is a nice mixer ,but pay that extra buck.

or save and get an 08 pro thats my choice
 
i wish i had the money to afford either of them.


not tried either but i hear the rane is the best u can get so ... plus a case, 100 dollars dont seem like to much of a strech for a better mixer as well as a case... dunno tho its personal preference with mixers innit
 
I had a 360 last year but i didn't like the feel of the upfaders, i mean the crossfader is dope but for that prize all faders should be the optical/magnetic.
I believe all faders on the rane are penny & giles so i'd go for the ttm56 or else the vestax 08.
The most expensive battlemixer is the new rodec scratchbox wich sells for over $1000.
 
RANE RANE RANE, never used the ecler but love rane...you cant go wrong
 
where the hell did you find a rane and case for $649. If you ask me thats a great deal. you have to buy the rane because its the bomb. The channel faders on the 360 are not particularly good, especially on tight cut. I bought a 56 and then tried out a mates 360 and the rane is definately better. the only downfalls of the rane are

1. A phone plug adapter thing for the power cable which looks pretty weak, not that mines broken. you just have to be a bit more careful with it.
2. There is no 1/4 inch jack plug for master output.

Other than that the rane 56 is the best scratch mixer around. GET IT!
 
well that did it... Rane it is,,, and it's actually scheduled to be delivered today.:)

I got it from sixstardj.com. I also got a quote from them of $625 without the case. The lowest I found period.

Gonna have fun this weekend..

Just wanted to update.. The Mixer is butter. Moving from a Numark DM 1100, I now know what I was missing.. I also just ordered the HAK 380 just to have it... I guess one of them will be my favorite.

Worst... Advice... Ever..

Rane is held up on its high status due to the faders all being of non contact magnetic nature.....
 
Just brought home a used rane ttm56 and hooked it up. It's replacing the stanton 201 which was the first one I bought to go with 2 cdj 800's. I hardly even know how to use it all at this point but can already see a HUGE difference with the new mixer. I got it for 590 with tax at a guitar center store.

I was talking about the hak 360 mixer not the rane ttm mixer series! Not a bad word about rane has ever come out of my mouth, so what do u mean???
 
Congrats on getting the 56.

I am glad the 56 is the last mixer I will buy (unless the 57 gets alot cheaper;)
 
rane are peachy, personnally i dont like the fader knobs tho... hak is an awsome bit of kit, real smooth...... id give a thumbs up either way, but agreed, they should have put magnetic line faders in the hak....
 
farmski, i agree about the fader knobs on the ranes. I've got an empath and love it except that the knob choices are a bit weak
