I got a really hot beat I'm producing with a lupe hook on it. The only problem is the song has alot of strong instruments so equing is kinda I pipe dream without leaving instruments in. Does anyone know of any software that can create an acapella. Basically I want to remove the instruments and leave a pretty dry and clear vocal.

cant be done most of the time but there are exceptions. itd be easier to get a cover vocal made

Adobe Audition is well known for removing vocals from a track. I've done it a few times. With some tracks, doing this is much harder depending on how the actuall song was recorded. But anyway, there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube to help you out with this. Just search: Making an acapella with Adobe Audition. Hope This Helps man.

logic can make acapellas. any recording program can. just hit record, sing with no music going, and voila, you made an acapella

yeah right a software that costs $350... ...only for acapellas

You could always record your own acapella. I know, sounds difficult, but in the end it's worth it more than using someone else's vocals.

Its for a beat you dumb ass. lol. A hook. lol @ forbidden Silence. you should be forever silent.

All adobe programs come with a 30 day free trial. Milk it for what it's worth. Also Izotope RX has some pretty awesome tools you could use to do it

He got it right.
In the end.... it's not worth using someone else's vocals.. if you plan on seriously doing anything with the song.
If all you intend on doing w/ the song is passing it out to your friends, or getting a few people in your neighborhood to buy it.... then knock yourself out. But you're not gonna want the headache of a lawsuit if you're song gets radioplay and the sample isn't cleared.

Unless you want to spend countless hours of time and energy trying to get the EQ perfect.... it would probably be less painful to just record your own vocals. Just put a spin on the words so there's no copyright issues.

I actually saw a program that's reported to do this and people say it works very good. I don't remember the name. I'll search for it and see if i can find it.

I think this is the one I came across. I actually found it a few hours after my original post and said to myself "what a coincidence".
It's called Extra Boy.

I'm pretty sure it's the one I was looking at.

(still hate this "uppity poster"? smh)

Extra Boy doesn't work, either. Not for clean vocals.
