Andre 3000 did amazing work w/ the Love Below. Really fantastic album with a lot of depth and originality. I may be biased, but my mind was pretty blown when I heard it. I think Andre holds more knowledge of music, and it's pretty clear with this album. Not to mention there's not 1 ****ing vocorder/auto-tune in the album which pretty much sums up everything I've said regarding talent, knowledge, and originality. Not to mention Andre is much more clever w/ the 808.

808's, however....It's nothing special. Didn't Kraftwerk make this album in the 70's?

Definetly not poorly written, and when you compare it to his competition(hip hop artist) shyt is a masterpeice. And he stopped using doubles since graduation I know alot of people who dont use'em.

The best thing about the album was the composition IMO.....especially the percussion...Im glad he didn't just make a regular run of the mill album production wise...

And as far as the engineering goes...who cares??? Its K-yeezy, he would have still put up his numbers, even if he got on CNN and admitted to not mixing or mastering the album. People by it because of the music...9/10 a fan wouldn't even know what mastering is. Let alone know when a track hasn't been.

not trying to argue...just venting

Nah, I feel you. It just all sounded like an incomplete demo to me. One thing I tend to do is listen to everything with "engineer ears". That can be a bad thing alot of times. All just opinions as I said before, mine doesn't mean much, a sh*tload of people love both 808s and Love Below.

Since when does using auto tune ,ake you talentless.....

808's sucked donkey balls, IMO. It annoys me to because I was a fan pre 808's but I can't get down with that ****.

um neitherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. id rather listen to the chipmunks christmas album

The love Below was much fresher thatn 808...808 kinda depressed/bored me. Andre was more creative.
and ill go out on the line and say it cuz im not scared.
Andre is a better rapper than kanye.
and i love kanye.
but thats real.

Kanye's album was his attempt to do something different and show his versatility. It felt like he was trying too hard to me. I don't like the album at all so, IMO he failed at it.

Dre's album wasn't anything but Dre being himself. The album was different and eclectic but, so is Dre so it really wasn't a surprise to me that it sounded the way it did. To me Love Below was a much better creative body of work.

when i was reaaaal young i didnt like the love below tbh. but i wasnt into r&b like that back then.

i HATE kanyes autotune. i sing alot with the lyrics. i think the beats on it are actually very creative (name me another song that sounds like amazing.)

im gonna have to listen to the love below before i even vote. (i definitely know that benjamin sings way better than kanye though so thats no debate..)

I wouldn't necessarily say Andre is better than Kanye. They are both envelope pushers, and come quite differently than a lot of their peers. However, I will say this: I can listen to The Love Below from beginning to end. And there's only 1 or 2 tracks I absolutely love on 808s.

Did a couple of these niggas really say Andre 3000 can "sang"? Dude can string a couple of notes together, but he really can't "sang".

Fix'd it for you.

what are you even saying? I think kanye is retarted and I was mad when 808s was so tight because up until then I used to be able to say I haven't liked any of his albums since his first album.

See even though I think he's a retard I am still honest and don't hate. I give credit where credit is due. Nobody I know has ever liked the love below. Bu. Plenty of people think 3k is a cool dude.

Not hating, but I literally lol'd at your post.

OT: I have had the Love Below, but I've never listened to 808's. Specifically because I chose not to, believing it'd be complete waste of my time and money. So for that, I'm not deciding whichever is better, because either way I'd come off as a "dick rider" to certain people.

love below man no doubt andre did real singing while kanye needed autotune
