Major Label Whore
hey, i thought it would be fun to make a thread with the worst DJ mixers ever. so, read and then post the worst one you've ever seen / used. pictures are a plus, so are descriptions...

here's my vote, the Clubman Meteor One-One:

Worst. mixer. ever. i bought one for a former girlfriend on ebay for $5.00. made of sheet metal and wood, its upfader and crossfader were so stiff they made a grinding noise when you moved them. the overall box had a tinny sound, but was so loud i was afraid of it wiping out my amp. ...it looked kind of cool in a retro way, tho.

i would have to vote for my first mixer

the MTX: Battle Board II

crappy crossfader that died quickly horrid sound and it was ugly..

i used it for a year and then as soon as i had the $$ bought my smac-30

There was this right rusty old cement mixer on this building site once: that was pretty bad. :p

Erm, some crap I've used at venues: dont know the name.

Anything by Behringer?

Any mixer that does not happen to be working correctly while playing live... I have a few in mind, but I will play nice and keep my bashings to myself.

I was going to vote for my first mixer (some cube-shaped Numark with the minimals), but yours takes the cake, catnap.

Behringer all dj mixers
Radio Shack dj mixers
Early Gemini dj mixers
Early American DJ mixers

did you guys forget about this:

^^^Word!

By the way. What the fudge is that vestax doing here?
Do samurais suck?

I had to use a small hammer to move the upfaders on a mixer at a local pawn shop. He was selling it for $10 for parts :P

The mixer I have at the moment, it's a piece of crap.

The Numark dm1050.

Crossfader? Forget about fading channels out, both will bleed through at full blast.

To be fair though, it wasn't designed for scratching at all, probably why it broke. And being new to all this DJing stuff, I didn't know. It would probably be okay for mixing.

Are you on crack?

Vestax are some of the smoothest mixers I've ever been granted to touch.

That HUGE ass Behringer mixer that came a few years ago.

i used to know an electro DJ that swore by that thing... well, i liked to swear AT it. ;)

I HATE THIS!

...but at least it gave me good training and it makes me appreciate what I have now. Doesn't matter, now its my girlfriends problem:)

the most staticy crossfaders, and then you have to move it too the middle and eRg! don't even mention that darn buzz everytime it moves...
:bat:

i do not like it, Stanton Fixers.
i do not like Stanton's SMX-201 mixers.

...and i love Vestax.

My 1st mixer. A "Lux-Sound"! Can't remember the model.

Cheesy as f*ck..

It featured a sound effects-section comprised of 6 push pads that let rip classics such as "machine gun", "siren", "alarm", etc.

Very reggae :D

It might have been this mixers major selling point if they weren't sampled at 8khz, or whatever.

I won't even get started on the sound "quality".
