Yamaha Motif XS VS Korg M3

hello everybody...

i'm with some doubts about which one is the best because i saw both videos and presentations and it looks that Korg M3 has more features than Motif XS but apparently a lot of people keeps prefering Yamaha Motif XS.

so i would like to get a professional opinion (yours) about this subject because i never tried anyone of them before.


--> so in your opinion i would like to know which things are better and worse in each module comparing each one of them

--> and what would u advice me to buy since i'm an Hip-Hop and Rnb producer...and why?

I would say the The korg M3... First of all Because of the removable rack itself and the fact you can add the radius console... The sounds in both machines as far as patches would be somewhat similar give or take... the m3 has karma... Yet the m3 take a lot more programming when it comes to utilizing everything in the m3 because of those extra features... Also the look of the m3 is so clean and neat that most people dont buy it because most people don't do a lot of research appearently... Looks are everything as well ... The Motif is a little more sexy but not as productive in the long run if u ask me...

Only the Korg has Karma, let's not mis-inform. With that said, it is imperative to go play these workstations for yourself with a pair of HEADPHONES because if it is GC, some clowns will be making alot of racket. Then, figure out what you need and which one is the best fit.
 
Sorry my bad.... I must be confusing the motif with another board... I was looking at another synth with karma other than the m3 a few weeks back... hmm...

No problem, the Motif XS does have some improved arpeggios, but KARMA is a KORG trademark invented by Stephen Kay, and only KORG boards have it.
